Hong Byung-jin, CEO of Lemon Healthcare, a two-way healthcare data platform company, announced on the 1st that he won the Minister of Science and ICT Award in the healthcare category of the "Korea Digital Management Innovation Awards," which marks its 22nd anniversary this year.

By establishing a "Lemon Care Platform" that links medical data with patients, hospitals, pharmacies, and financial institutions, Lemon Healthcare works with more than 120 senior and general hospitals in Korea to increase the efficiency and convenience of medical work, and provides mobile services to patients from receiving medical treatment to issuing electronic receipts, electronic prescriptions, and medical certificate documents. The Ministry of Science and ICT was also honored for its contribution to the development of the domestic digital healthcare industry by establishing a system that can conveniently use the entire medical process with smartphones.

In addition, Lemon Healthcare has implemented a hyper-connected platform that enables digital conversion of medical services such as connecting hospitals and insurance companies directly without insurance claims, non-face-to-face insurance claims, and issuing mobile certificates through the simple claim app "God of Claiming." It is evaluated that it has greatly contributed to resolving difficulties in claiming real-life insurance benefits for patients and expanding the paperless ESG management of medical institutions.

Lemon Healthcare is a successful model for domestic commercialization of the digital healthcare platform, contributing to fostering new growth businesses and job creation, a digital platform government policy, through overseas expansion such as export counseling to develop the Asian market and establishing a local branch in Thailand. In particular, it was founded in 2017 and hired 81 people in 2021, contributing to 550% of job creation in five years.

It also received high marks from the judges for contributing to the expansion of the medical non-face-to-face service environment of domestic medical institutions and the prevention of COVID-19 by monitoring health information and non-face-to-face treatment services for patients at home through the "Life Treatment Center Non-face-to-face Treatment Service" app.

Lemon Healthcare is developing the software industry by deploying all research personnel to develop services for mobile app technology related to medical software, and also has various technology patents.

Regarding the award of the Ministry of Science and Technology, CEO Hong Byung-jin said, "I think we have gained the honor of the award thanks to our continuous research and development and generous investment efforts to create a smart hospital and smart healthcare ecosystem in Korea," and added, "We will continue to create various opportunities for sustainable growth as a leading digital healthcare company in the medical data market and accelerate our entry into the global market beyond Korea."
